The Europe Plan

Before setting out for America, I plan to do a road trip of Europe. This is going to be the most cliched road trip, I'm afraid, for I will do in each country whatever it is famous for.

I'll start in London, moving on to France to eat frogs' legs and snails, then to Germany to have a large beer, then Italy where I will gobble down their best pizza. My plan after that is to head to my home town in Bulgaria, where I'll see my family before heading to Spain to get a ship to the USA.

Yeah, it's crazy. I'll probably look like a mad tourist, but hey, you only live once!

I want to hit countries like Poland, Greece and Russia too, but we'll see. Right now, I can only try and save up.

Yosemite National Park

I saw this video last week and now Yosemite National Park is somewhere at the top of my list of to-go-places.

The park actually covers about 1200 square miles but only a small portion of that is visited by the public. The  majority has been untouched by humans. I don't know if that's a good thing or not, actually. On one hand, I think people need to do more to connect with nature. On the other, I think it's kind of romantic how no person has ever ventured there.

20% of California's plant species reside there, and there are hundreds of different wildlife species. Just look at this video I was talking about:

Ugh, hold me, it's so pretty. And what saddens me the most is how a million years ago, this is what the whole Earth looked like, before we started violently littering it and building crappy office buildings! No, our ancestors were smarter -- that's why we can't find a lot of tools they used. They didn't litter. While in the future, people are probably discovering all kinds of Coca Cola cans we use today. What if 2000 years from now there's no place like Yosemite left?

You see, that's also another reason why I want to travel. To see it all before it's too late.

The Grand Canyon

I think I've always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon. My first ever dream of going there included drinking a beer on my Mustang with rock music in the background. Maybe it's because of the heat (and I love hot places) or the freedom of it all, but it's going to be one of the first places I visit.

But knowing my clumsiness, I'll probably trip over a safety fence and fall (it's not like it hasn't happened before). I bet the rocks will crumble under me. I don't know, something'll happen, it always does!

The first time I saw a photo of the Grand Canyon I thought a giant had ripped the USA open like a crisp packet, but that had something to do with me being five.

Well, with the press of the 'publish' button this plan'll be sealed into history; I won't be able to avoid going!
